Swept Path Diagrams
Swept Path Analysis calculates and analyses the movement and path of different parts of a vehicle when the vehicle is performing a turning maneuver such as 3 point turns, U-turns or right turns. It can be also referenced as Swept Path Analysis and Swept Path Assessment.
Local councils or road authorities will often request swept path assessment diagrams when planning new developments, particularly when car parks & driveways of these developments are shared amongst various users.
Why do I need a Swept Path Assessment?
Local Councils or Roads Authorities will ask for a Swept Path Diagram for most Development Applications where there is a need to assess that the car park design complies with Councils DCP Clause 52.06 and Australian Standard AS2890.1-2004.
Swept Path Diagrams are prepared by the Auswide Consulting team using the latest industry standard software, AutoTurn.
